Installation

1. Create a directory to hold the AA 2.8.2 files.
2. From within the new directory, unzip the following files: AA282_ContentNoMaps.zip, AA282_Maps.zip, AA282_LinuxRuntime.zip.
3. Make a new directory in the "home/<username>" directory called ".armyops280".
4. Unzip AA282_LinuxConfiguration.zip into the .armyops280 directory.  This will create both the System directory and System/pb (Punkbuster) directories with the latest PunkBuster.  The included server.ini must be modified to reflect your Pragmatic 
Solutions' Honor Server information.  For more information on honor servers contact Pragmatic Solutions.


Running The Server

1. Enter the directory created to hold the AA 2.8.2 files.  
2. Type "./server-bin GLOBAL <mapname.aao> ini=<ini file name.ini>"

This version resolves an issue seen in earlier versions of America's Army 2.8.x Linux servers that prevented it from properly starting each time.

This version has been tested with the following versions of Linux or Unix:

- FreeBSD
- Fedora 4
- Fedora 7
- Red Hat Linux Enterprise 4
- Red Hat Linux Enterprise 5

PunkBuster updates are available at www.evenbalance.com.

Note the zip files were created using info-zip and tested under the various linux implementations.  The Free BSD installation used the standard linux unzip using the linux emulator.
